One of the finest white wines of the Loire valley. We expect no less from the son of Charly and nephew of Nady Foucault, who proved his worth in the mythical domain.

Saumur La Charpentrie Domaine du Collier 2011
The wine
This cuvée from old vines is aged for 20 to 30 months in new barriques and in barriques for one wine. It exudes aromas of white flowers and white fleshy fruit. On the palate, the wine is fine, rich and taut with great finesse and a superb length.
About the Producer Domaine du Collier
Antoine Foucault (son of Clos Rougeard’s Charly and nephew of Nady Foucault) and his partner Caroline Boireau planted their domaine in Chace in the Saumur region in 1999. This organic vineyard has around 6 hectares on the famous hillsides of Brézé, planted predominantly to white. The wines are barrel-aged for a long time in magnificent troglodyte caves. The result indisputably tops all expectations. Both red and white wines from Domaine du Collier are classed as the highest in the region as they perfectly express their terroir and are very pure, fresh, deep, and concentrated.
