Corton Grand Cru Pougets Rapet Père & Fils 2011
The wine
Pougets is one of the lieux-dits on the Corton hillside, "Poisets" is the local patois meaning Puits or Well. This is a truly great wine which needs to be aged for a few years, but it can already be enjoyed after only 3 to 4 years in the cellar.
About the Producer Rapet Père & Fils
Domaine Rapet Père et Fils, is a very old family domaine in Pernand-Vergelesses (confirmed by an engraved 1765 tastevin). The vineyard extends over 20 hectares, spread between Pernand-Vergelesses, Savigny-les-Beaune, Chorey-les-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and Beaune. It is managed in a sustainable and responsible manner to minimise phytosanitary treatments. The wines are of a modern style and express the typical nature of their terroir well; they are all the more interesting as prices remain reasonable.
