IGP Côtes du Lot Dolmen Domaine Belmont 2020
The wine
Dolmen is a Chardonnay varietal wine produced on a limestone and clay terroir. Its fullness, creaminess, wooded notes and tautness are perfectly balanced and its mineral finish has excellent aromatic persistence.
About the Producer Belmont
Created in 1993 by Christian Belmon, the domain is characterised by its unusual grape varieties for the region: Syrah, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc, as well as its commitment to excellence. Former owner Christian Bemon had actually called on microbiologists Claude and Lydia Bourguignon to study the soils. Stéphane Derenoncourt even gave his expert advice concerning vinifications. As her husband sadly passed away in 2010, he left his place to wife Françoise Belmon. The wines are sought-after for their radiance, density and mineral length.
