Château Mille Roses 2005
The wine
This Haut-Médoc from Château Mille Roses is vinified in stainless steel and then raised for 12 months in oak barriques (25% new). The nose boasts aromas of black fruit, spices and tar while the mouth offers volume, fleshy structure and tannins that will melt beautifully with age.
About the Producer Mille Roses
Created in 1999, Château Mille Roses is owned by David Faure, who was joined by his wife in 2002. The 10-hectare vineyard is situated to the south of the Médoc, between Giscours and Cantemerle, and grows and sand-gravel soils. In the winery, vinifications are gently and the élevage feature a small proportion of new oak (0 to 40%). One to watch; this domain produces elegant wines with a nice freshness.
