About the wine
Famed around the world for its white wines, the Pouilly Fumé estate (not to be confused with the Pouilly Fuissé, the Maconnais' crown jewel), stretches over calcareous land that allows Sauvignon to fully express itself. Freshness and tautness combined with both powerful and subtle aromas of spices and flint characterise Pouilly Fumé. This very dry, very fine wine can be consumed in its early stages but can easily be left to age for a few years to develop its mellow and rounded aspects.
