Montrachet Grand Cru
Information
About the wine

Famous since the late eighteenth century, the very nature of the Montrachet vineyard helps to make a wine out of the ordinary. Ironically, the poverty of its soil, located on a barren hill of stones and clay (Montrachet meaning bald mountain in old French), produces a wine of incredible complexity, often considered as the best white wine in the world. Covering the communes of Puligny and Chassagne, the vineyard is divided now between 17 lucky owners. Featuring a beautiful gold light, the flavors of this wine are rich and literally lining the palate with notes of yellow and white fruits, spices and cream. In high concentration. It requires many years to reach perfection. When at its peak, the Montrachet develops unmatched richness and complexity of flavors.
