Information
Boyd-Cantenac has belonged to the Guillemet family since 1932, who have devoted themselves to developing this property, and Château Pouget, which they also own. Its vineyard lies on sandy-gravelly soil with a very high proportion of gravel. Average production for the last 20 years has been 40 hectolitres per hectare. All the processes of great wine are combined: low yield, quality of the terroir and choice of grape varieties.
Boyd-Cantenac's wine is distinguished by its character and its subtle bouquet that make it so popular with Margaux fans. This wine is aged for about two years in oak barrels and vats before being bottled. It will benefit from being kept in the cellar for many years before being drunk.
