Château la Tour Blanche 1er Grand Cru Classé
Information
About the producer

Château La Tour Blanche once belonged to a Mr Osiris, who donated it to the Ministry of Agriculture in 1907. The property boasts not only a vast vineyard planted over very even soil, but also a school of wine-making and viniculture. Having long punched below its true weight, the domaine was significantly modernised with State funding.

About the wine

This cru classé produces a superb Sauternes with a fairly high level of liqueur. The wine itself, however, is perfectly balanced with superb freshness. The bouquet produces aromas of exotic fruit, candied lemon and honey. The mouthfeel is superb, elegant and precise. With age, the colour develops towards old gold, then bronze, with the nose developing aromas of saffron-like spices.
