Château Belgrave 5ème Grand Cru Classé
Information
About the producer

Château Belgrave is one of the oldest wine properties in the Médoc, located in Saint Laurent, on the edge of the Saint Julien appellation, from which it is separated by a stream. Ranked as a fifth growth in the 1855 Haut Médoc classification due to the quality of its deep gravel terroir, Château Belgrave suffered greatly during the difficult period in the Médoc after the Second World War. Purchased in 1979 by an agricultural property group, its management was entrusted to the CVBG group (Dourthe-Kressmann) who immediately undertook a vast renovation programme.

About the wine

Today the wines are deep, rich and elegant. Very careful ageing with 50% new wood, give generous wines with a good capacity to age.
