Information
Located on the Fougasse plateau, this vineyard benefits from an excellent terroir. Manually harvested and vinified using traditional methods, the wine is then aged for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels. It develops a beautiful velvety purple colour. Classified as a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 1932, the property was not submitted at the revision of the cru bourgeois classification that took place in June 2003.
On the palate, this is a supple, rounded, full-bodied, very agreeable wine. Note that old bottles of Château Bel Air Marquis d'Aligre, which have the brand stamped in the glass with the motto, "défendu d'en laisser"("none must be left") are sought by collectors.
