About the producer
Gabriel Meffre,was a renowned nurseryman in the Vaucluse who came to the Médoc to sell Cabernet Sauvignon vines, fell in love with the area and decided to settle there in 1954. He built up Château Lagrange in Saint-Julien from old parcels. His two sons now run the property.
About the wine
The property produces a fine mature wine. Balanced and full, with a fresh fruitiness and liveliness, it is delicious drunk young. In good vintages, it has cellaring potential of several years.
