Information
This family domaine has very beautiful parcels of land in the village of Gevrey in particular, with the premier cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques, and grand crus, Mazis, Charmes and Chambertin. The domaine’s wines are powerful and require a few years aging to reveal their full potential.
Renowned for its great red wines, the Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru appellation produces complex, powerful cuvées with outstanding ageing potential. The family estate, located in Gevrey-Chambertin, lovingly cultivates the finest plots of the Côte de Nuits to produce authentic wines of character. The Pinot Noir vines, averaging thirty-fives years, are exclusively hand-harvested to preserve the quality and freshness of the fruit. In the winery, the harvested grapes are vinified according to traditional methods, with as little intervention as possible.
The garnet-red colour reveals an expressive and delicate nose, as fruity as it is spicy. The elegant and rich mouthfeel is characterised by delicious flavours of red fruit combined with hints of spice and subtle touches of leather, leading to a rich and fragrant finish. This 100% Pinot Noir’s aromatic palette will evolve wonderfully over the years.
