Information
Internationally renowned for its Grand Cru cuvées, the Vosne-Romanée appellation also produces Premier Cru wines that are as tasty as they are fragrant. The Les Suchots climat name comes from the word ‘souche’, a reference to the extensive deforestation that took place there. The ideally south- and south-east-facing Pinot Noir vines perch at an altitude of around 250 metres. They thrive and develop perfectly on limestone and marl soils.
The deep garnet-red colour is complemented by an expressive and complex bouquet of cherry and blackberry combined with notes of spice and clove. The intense, fleshy palate reveals a lovely roundness combined with mocha flavours, leading to an incredibly persistent finish. This cuvée can easily be cellared for several years.
