Information
Chardonnay vines thrive in the climat de la Garenne, close to the woods. In the Middle Ages, the word ‘garenne’ referred to a wooded area dedicated to hunting belonging to a lord or a monastery. To capture the nobility and history of these ancestral sites, the estate cultivates each plot in accordance with organic farming principles. No chemical inputs or weedkillers are used on the thin, pebbly soils of the climat. Located between 340 and 360 metres above sea level with a south-easterly exposure, the Chardonnay vines are harvested with the utmost care.
With its elegant golden colour, this cuvée is renowned for its liveliness, reflecting its location and altitude. The expressive bouquet reveals scents of white flowers combined with hints of almond. The harmonious, delicate mouthfeel is accentuated by incomparable freshness and softness. This 100% Chardonnay will reveal its full potential after a few years’ cellaring.
