Information
This estate, located in the southern part of Saône-et-Loire, at the heart of the Beaujolais region, in Régnié Durette, has been making unique wines for over four generations. Jean-Marc Laforest, who took over his parents’ vineyard, chose a more environmentally responsible approach to winemaking, respecting the land and biodiversity. Certified Haute Valeur Environnementale (High Environmental Value), the estate nurtures its Gamay vines with precision, to showcase the full potential and flavours of the grape variety. His sons, Thomas and Pierre, took over running the family business in 2016, which now covers some twenty hectares. In the winery, traditional, low-interventionist vinification is conducted following manual harvests. The brothers produce authentic, vibrant cuvées, reflecting the spirit of this young generation, which is breathing new life into the Beaujolais region.
