    About the producer

Already well-known in this small Central American country for producing sugar cane, the Botran family first turned its hand to rum in 1939 when it founded Industria Licorera Quezalteca. The distillery and warehouses were built at an altitude of 2400 m to mitigate the high temperatures and slow the ageing process. Today, the distillery operates under the name Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala and produces the rums Botran and Zacapa in column stills from sugar cane honey.

    About the wine
