Information
The Pinot Noir vines, planted mid-slope, benefit from an ideal south-easterly exposure. Meanwhile, the clay-limestone soils, consisting of limestone boulders in the subsoil, provide each vine with all the nutrients it needs to thrive. The estate follows healthy, sustainable methods in the vineyard. The land is carefully ploughed, and neither chemical fertilisers nor weedkillers are used. Once hand-picked, the grapes are carefully sorted on a sorting table. Once vinified in open vats for three weeks, the fruit is aged for 24 months in oak casks, 50% of which are new.
The dark ruby colour is complemented by an intense nose of red and black fruit combined with subtle hints leather and spice. The delicate, fleshy palate reveals charming fruity flavours. This cuvée promises long, excellent ageing potential.
