Information
This outstanding Premier Cru is unique in that it is produced from vines half of which are 70 years old and the other half 30 years old. The vines are located in the middle of the slope, with a south-easterly exposure that provides ideal exposure to sunshine. The estate nurtures its clay-limestone soils with meticulous ploughing to give each vine the energy it needs to develop. Neither fertilisers nor chemical weedkillers are used, to make way for a more precise and balanced viticulture. The estate conducts entirely manual harvests. The fruit is sorted and vinified in open vats for three weeks. Lastly, the cuvée is aged for 20 months in oak casks 50% of which are new.
The bright red colour unveils a fragrant nose bursting with freshness and fruity aromas. The fleshy, delicate palate is perfectly structured delivering flavours of red fruit.
