Information
Charmes-Chambertin, widely recognised as one of the finest Grand Cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, is home to Pinot Noir vines growing on particularly well-drained, stony soils. Each plot is tended with the utmost care and respect for the environment and biodiversity, allowing the vines to draw all the nutrients they need to thrive from the soil. In the winery, the harvested grapes are vinified according to traditional methods, with as little intervention as possible, to produce authentic, refined wines.
The bright, rich colour reveals an elegant, sophisticated nose combining intense aromas of black plum and blackcurrant with subtle hints of spice. On the palate, this rich, concentrated delicious wine offers a structured, tannic character with subtle fruity aromas, leading to a lingering finish. This cuvée can be enjoyed young, but will also greatly benefit from several years in the cellar.
