Information
Antoine Lienhardt, owner of the eponymous Burgundy domain, manages over five hectares of fine parcels in Comblanchien, a village well-known for its ancient limestone quarries. It comes at no surprise that the vines soak up the essence of the land to create beautifully pure and balanced wines.
Antoine Liedhardt, who was joined by his sister Héloïse in 2017, is the brains behind this single varietal Gamay, which is a lovely addition to the region where Pinot Noir wines dominate. A great deal of care is taken by winemakers from Fixin to produce this wine using organic farming methods. Work is carried out meticulously in the cellar so as to not spoil the essence of the grapes. The wines are vinified in whole bunches using semi-carbonic maceration and are left to age for 7 months in used barrels with indigenous yeasts triggering fermentation. The final step sees a small amount of sulphur added to the wine.
This wine is an absolute delight that has immense fluidity and that is fruity and fragrant. It’s the perfect bottle to pull out in good company with a charcuterie board.
