Information
With a long tradition of producing blends with white grape varieties, Domaine de la Grange de l’Oncle Charles has recently begun to conquer the world of single-varietal wines. This cuvee, made solely from Pinot Noir, comes from complantations, a specific feature of the property: the estate only cultivates multiple grape varieties, whose vines grow mixed together on its seven hectares. A small vineyard that the winemaker is keen to maintain on a human scale, to encourage the fullest expression of his terroirs through organic and biodynamic winemaking. The land is pampered, worked both by horse and by hand.
Dried flowers and pink berries offer a soft, bewitching nose. The aromas develop into fresh red fruits, with raspberries and redcurrants. The tannins are extremely light and give way to impressive density in the mouth. Subtle flavours of acidulous fruit and sweet spices provide a lively and original finish.
