Information
Maylis Bernard, a leading figure on the Jura wine scene, has set herself the sole objective of producing top-quality natural wines. With the support of the legendary Ganevat family, she unveils the delicate, subtle Gacha cuvée, a rare and original blend of Gamay and Chardonnay grapes. The grapes, exclusively cultivated under organic principles, are meticulously selected before being vinified as naturally as possible, with as little human intervention as possible. In the winery, the grapes undergo a three-week semi-carbonic maceration, without pumping over or punching down. This is known as ‘infusion-style’ maceration. The cuvée, with no added sulphur, is aged for a year before being carefully bottled.
The bright ruddy-red colour reveals a delicate expressive bouquet with elegant fragrances of red fruit. The lively, intense mouthfeel is perfectly balanced by a delicate acidity leading to an incredibly pure finish.
