Information
In 1850, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow, two brothers from Silesia, were sent to France by Tsar Alexander II to supply the Russian Court with cognac. In 1862, after several trips, they set up a sales office in the town of Cognac and founded A.C. Meukow & Co. With the support of influential shareholders like Henri Bouraud, Mayor of Cognac from 1849 to 1869, the brand found quick success. In 1979, Meukow joined the family-owned group Compagnie de Guyenne, founded in 1969 by Michel Coste.
Meukow VSOP (Very Superior Old Pale) is a cognac made with eaux-de-vie aged for at least 4 years in oak casks. This Red edition is presented in a red bottle.
