Information
Auchroisk (also known as Singleton of Auchroisk) is a Speyside distillery founded in 1972 by the Justerini & Brooks group to meet the growing demand for blended whisky. Now owned by the Diageo group, it was a pioneer of double maturation, but never credited as such.
This Auchroisk distilled in 1976 was one of the first bottlings released in the Singleton range, which was discontinued in 2001 before being relaunched in 2006 with Glendullan, Glen Ord and Dufftown but without Auchroisk. It was matured for eight years in bourbon casks and finished for two years in sherry casks.
