Information
Located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, this vineyard has an excellent terroir. This property produces nice red and white wines, which deserve amateurs’ attention.
Quite atypical this side of the Garonne, this wine is a blend of 60% Merlot with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. The harvests are undertaken both by hand and using machinery depending on the parcels concerned. The juice is fermented in stainless steel and the wine is then matured in French, oak casks (40% new wood) for 12 months. This wine has a lovely, ruby colour. Its nose opens on a mix of red fruits and vanilla, the latter deriving from the cask maturation. The palate is intensely tannic without being excessive. The red fruit flavour is found again here. It will pair wonderfully with game, red meat, or even a cheese board. In terms of ageing, this wine will have already developed well in around 3 years, although it can be kept for up to a decade.
