Information
Domaine du Perron is nestled between the Jura and Savoie winegrowing regions. François Grinand, a former pianist, set up his own wine estate covering two hectares of vines in the heart of the charming Bugey region. Well aware of the current environmental concerns and with a view to protecting biodiversity, the winemaker cultivates the grape varieties native to the region, such as Gamay, and applies the strict principles of organic farming. Each parcel receives specific care depending on its needs, to allow the personality of each one to shine through. Following harvesting by hand, vinification is carried out with minimal intervention. Fermentation is performed with the yeasts naturally present in the grapes, and absolutely no sulphur is added. It is in this privileged and harmonious context that the vineyard produces authentic, fruity vintages that perfectly reflect the terroir and the meticulous work of a passionate winemaker.
