Information
Based in Rochefort-du Gard, a stone’s throw from Avignon, the winegrower cultivates some 14 hectares of vines with the utmost care. Nicolas Renaud produces wines made exclusively from grapes grown using organic and biodynamic methods, combined with a natural approach. He does not use any chemical fertilisers or weedkillers, and has adopted a gentler, more environmentally friendly approach to viticulture. In the winery, his approach to winemaking is natural and low-interventionist, with no added oenological inputs. The harvested grapes are pressed directly and undergo a very light skin maceration. The result is the mind-blowing Cuvée Soleil 28, the perfect blend of two distinct grape varieties, Viognier and Clairette.
A dazzling golden colour reveals a vibrant bouquet dominated by subtle yellow fruit aromas combined with light floral touches. The freshness and tenderness of the fruity aromas on the palate gradually lead to a tasty, lingering finish.
