Information
Château Clinet has joined the ranks of the great Pomerols. In order to ensure that the grapes are perfectly ripe, Clinet carries out meticulous manual harvests. The same level of care is applied to the vinification, which is followed by ageing for 24 months in new barrels, enabling the wine to become intense, rich and concentrated.
Nestled around forty kilometres from Bordeaux, this domain passionately produces a beautiful Pomerol wine, blending 95% Merlot with 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines, averaging around forty years old, are harvested exclusively by hand to preserve the quality and freshness of the fruit. In the winery, the fruit undergoes a plot-by-plot-based traditional vinification in wooden vats. The cuvée is then carefully aged in oak casks, 60% of which are new, before being bottled.
The Fleur de Clinet cuvée displays a majestic ruddy colour with bright tints and an elegant bouquet of red fruit and floral notes. On the palate, the supple, delicate tannins blend perfectly with intense notes of candied fruit, leading to a long, flavoursome finish. This cuvée is ideal for cellaring for a few years.
