About the producer
The Estève family owns a 45-hectare estate in Petite Champagne, Celles (Charente-Maritime) planted with Ugni Blanc. The house’s cognacs are mainly composed of old and very old eaux de vie. It made a name for itself at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900 when it was awarded a gold medal. It nonetheless remained a niche producer, with most of its cognac being sold to larger houses like Hennessy and Rémy Martin.
About the wine
Cognac Famille Estève Très Vieille Petite Fine Champagne Hors d’’Âge is aged for at least ten years, although Estève cognacs are normally much older than the legal minimum.
