About the producer
Larressingle is a family-run business founded in 1837. The Papelorey family owns the Larressingle fortified castle, built by the bishops of Condom in the 13th century. Four generations of cellar master have sculpted the character of Larressingle Armagnac, which is a mixture of eaux de vie from Ténarèze and Bas-Armagnac.
About the wine
Larressingle XO (Extra Old) Armagnac, bottled in this case in 2010, is composed of Armagnacs aged for at least ten years in oak casks. The spirits are first aged for three years in new casks stored in warm, dry cellars, then in colder, humid cellars. The Armagnacs then continue their ageing in red barrels.
