Information
Blended from twelve plots spread throughout Meursault, this cuvée perfectly represents the style of this beautiful Côte de Beaune village. Around forty years old, the Chardonnay vines stretch across the south-east facing slope on a limestone-clay soil and are grown using as few chemicals as possible. The hand-harvested grapes are pressed when they arrive at the cellar and their must ferments in oak barrels at cellar temperature thanks to natural yeasts. The wine is bottled after ageing for fifteen to eighteen months in barrels with the proportion of new wood standing at 30%.
This golden Meursault boasts beautiful notes of white flowers, peaches, almonds and fresh butter. On the palate, this wine is ample with a beautiful fattiness that makes way for a slight refreshing bitterness in the finish. This is a wine to drink when it is between four to six years old with roasted poultry or scallops and leek fondue.
