Information
Marc Rougeot-Dupin’s business works together with the Rougeot domain, allowing the domain to use the thirteen hectares in the Côte de Beaune to complete its range with the most beautiful climats of the region. The Chevalier Montrachet, a grand cru which spreads over a little more than seven hectares, is one of them. Situated just above Montrachet, further up the hill between 265 and 290 metres above sea level, its soil is a little deep and very stony, made up of rendzina on chalk marl, which imparts an intense minerality to the wines. The Chardonnay benefits from the perfect east-facing vineyard, helping the grapes reach optimal ripeness.
This shimmering gold wine reveals complex aromas, mixing white blossom, hazelnuts, warm croissants and notes of wax. The ample and generous palate is in perfect harmony with the nose. Creamy, wonderfully buttery, it is balanced by just the right amount of acidity. An excellent wine which will enhance lobster served with mayonnaise, for example.
