About the producer
Château Balac was written with two Ls until the end of the 19th century. After changing hands numerous times, the property was finally purchased by Joseph Touchais in 1965. By then, the vines had disappeared and the buildings were in ruins. The new owner began replanting the vineyard in 1966 and gradually undertook a complete restoration of the property's infrastructure.
About the wine
The château has produced fruity, balanced wines since 1975. The owners have focused on finesse and elegance rather than power and volume.
