After closing in 1983, Dallas Dhu was bought in 1986 by Historic Scotland who, in 1988, reopened the site as a museum, exactly 90 years after its creation.The majority of the distillery's bottlings come from independent bottlers, such as Cadenhead, Douglas Laing, Gordon & MacPhail and the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.It appeared under its own name in two ranges, The Rare Malts Selection and a series released by Historic Scotland composed of six different versions that can be considered official bottlings.
A blend of two casks of Dallas Dhu (#1505-06) distilled in 1974 and bottled in 1996 by Signatory Vintage after 21 years’’ maturation. Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington, who previously worked at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh, where he would select casks specially for the hotel. In 2002, he bought the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry, in the Highlands of Scotland and moved Signatory Vintage vintage to the site, including the warehouses opposite the distillery. This whisky was bottled for the Vintage Collection, a range created in 1992 that features whiskies bottled at 43% and generally aged for between 12 years and just over 20 years. A limited edition of 730 bottles.
