Having acquired a real reputation with the wines from his trade, since 2006, with the help of his son, Dominique Laurent has also created a small producer-farming establishment from vineyards leased to a winemaker of Vosne-Romanée. He does not deal with vinification but élevage and bottling. Nevertheless, he supervises vinification. The father and son like to work grape musts that have not been destemmed and to mature their wines without sulphur. They use new barrels, the signature of the maison. Dominique Laurent's entire range of wines is characterised by a high degree of purity and to be accessible to all ages. This recipe has proved its worth to fans all over the world.

Dominique Laurent, famous pastry chef who became a trader in Burgundy wines, decided to become a wine producer with his son in 2006, renting part of an estate and land from a wine producer in Vosne-Romanée. The wines produced by Dominique and his son are similar to those sold by their wine trading business. The wines ooze luxury with their long but precise ageing and are full-bodied, rounded and powerful. After keeping them for a few years, the estate's wines manage to lose their woodiness and reveal the best notes from their terroir, subtle and ever evolving. These wines are excellent for lovers of powerful, rich and well-rounded wines.
The small Premier Cru, situated above the Echézeaux Grand Cru, owes its name to the ochre colour of the wine just as much as it does the ferruginous soil that gives the ground a reddish hue in the sun. The climat is less than three hectares large and not very well-known. Nevertheless, it produces wines with a splendid bouquet, similar to the wines made from its Echézeaux neighbour. This wine, always delicate and flavourful, is a model for the type of wine this appellation can produce. An excellent wine, floral and elegant.
