Information
Tullamore was founded in 1829 in the town of the same name, located between Dublin and Galway. The distillery prospered under the direction of Daniel Edmund Williams, who began working there aged 15 and took over at its helm at just 25. His initials were added to the distillery’‘s name to create the well-known Irish blend Tullamore Dew. The distillery closed in 1954, but the brand was bought by Powers, which became part of the Irish Distillers group in 1975. Since 2010, Tullamore Dew has been owned by William Grant & Sons.
