Information
Glann Ar Mor (Seashore) is a French distillery created in 1997 in Pleubian, Côtes-d’‘Armore by Jean Donnay, founder of the independent bottler Celtic Whisky Compagnie. Initially a rudimentary enterprise, it eventually developed its current form and released its first unpeated single malt in 2008. It would not be until the following year that the distillery’‘s first peated malt—Kornog—was released. In June 2020, the distillery announced it had been bought by the Cognac-based company Maison de Villevert.
Bottled by La Maison du Whisky for its Version Française range, this Kornog 2007 was matured for 13 years in Sauternes casks before being bottled at the cask strength of 57.7%. Launched in 2020 by LMDW, Version Française is the first ever independent range of exclusively French spirits.
