About the producer
J.M rum (for Jean-Marie Martin) is a rhum agricole produced since 1845 in Macouba, in the north-east of Martinique, between the River Roches and the Macouba River, at the foot of Mount Pelée. The distillery is located in the heart of the three-hundred-hectare estate of Fonds-Préville, which has existed since 1790.
About the wine
A bottling produced by the Martinique distillery J.M. in tribute to its founder Jean-Marie Martin. An Hors d’’Age (“beyond age”) old rum, which, according to the Rhum Martinique AOC, means it has been aged for at least 6 years in oak casks. 1854 is a reference to the year in which the distillery was founded.
