Information
The Sphaeranera cuvée is made using the Pallagrello nero grape, here grow in volcanic, sandy, and chalky soil. Like the domain’s other cuvées, this one is vinified naturally, including spontaneous fermentation and a skin-contact maceration lasting 7-8 months in amphora pots; the wine is matured in these same containers. This cuvée has a rustic side to it, with wild and smoky notes alongside aromas of black fruit. On the palate, it has a tight, tannic underscore as well as tension and complexity, and this is lifted by the elegance of its texture. A dynamic wine with a long and powerful finish.
