Founded in 1884 by whisky baron James Buchanan, the brand was created to appeal to an English public which was already very fond of Cognac. Known for its famous Black and White blend - the house whisky at the House of Commons - Buchanan’s delicate style comes from the distilleries Glendullan, Clynelish and Dalwhinnie.

A brand of blend from James Buchanan & Co, aged for at least 12 years. Bottled in the 1980s for the Italian market and imported by Amerigo Sagna & Figli. Bottle equipped with a screw cap, black foil seal, stamped bottleneck label and Italian tax strip.
