Information
This Meursault comes from the eponymous parcel Les Tillets, where the Chardonnay vines are grown organically and biodynamically in soil that is rich in chalk rock. Yields are limited in order to encourage the ripeness of the grapes.
The idea is to highlight both the terroir and the individual vintage. There is thus very little intervention as the grapes vinify, and the wine is matured in oak casks (10% new wood) for a year and a half.
Once uncorked, this is a complex and concentrated wine, light yellow in colour with a rich aromatic bouquet (notes of yellow and white fruit, honeysuckle, fresh almond, bergamot, violet, and pepper). On the palate it balances an unctuous texture with a pleasant minerality. It lingers nicely and should be enjoyed with a distinguished dish such as noble fish, crustaceans, or asparagus risotto.
