Having acquired a real reputation with the wines from his trade, since 2006, with the help of his son, Dominique Laurent has also created a small producer-farming establishment from vineyards leased to a winemaker of Vosne-Romanée. He does not deal with vinification but élevage and bottling. Nevertheless, he supervises vinification. The father and son like to work grape musts that have not been destemmed and to mature their wines without sulphur. They use new barrels, the signature of the maison. Dominique Laurent's entire range of wines is characterised by a high degree of purity and to be accessible to all ages. This recipe has proved its worth to fans all over the world.

Family domain Dominique Laurent crafts a Marsannay from the eponymous parcel Clos du Roi. It has a pale, ruby colour in the glass and has a nose of red and black fruit, prune, and flowers such as violet. This fresh and fruity aromatic bouquet introduces a lively palate that promises long ageing. Young, this cuvée is structured by firm tannins that will soften over time. We recommend savouring it within ten years alongside a meat-based dish like veal with vegetables or rabbit in mustard sauce.
