Information
Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux was founded in 1858 and has been run by five successive generations. Currently, Florence and Pascal Lachaux are at the helm (since 1995) of the operation. The vineyards cover just under 15 hectares and appellations: Vosne-Romanée, Clos-de-Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, Echezaux, and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. The vines are maintained with grass cover, the yields have been mastered and thus, the quality of the wines has been further increased. A Côte des Nuits domaine which is not to be missed.
Founded in the mid-19th century, family domain Arnoux-Lachaux is now run by Florence and Pascal Lachaux. This cuvée is a Nuits-Saint-Georges crafted by the book. The Pinot noir grapes are thoroughly cared for throughout their growth; grass is grown in the vineyard to encourage microbial life and yields are limited to maximise ripeness.
This cuvée has a deep, ruby red hue and characterful notes. Its primary notes are of red and black fruits, accompanied by hints of leather, cooked fruit, and prunes. This introduces a powerful palate structured by racy tannins. This wine has good ageing potential and promises some lovely food pairings.
We recommend uncorking this bottle at least ten years after its vintage and serving it with a dish like game, strong cheese, or autumnal vegetables.
