Château de Rouillac
Information
About the wine

The 26 hectares of vines here in Pessac-Léognan are perfect for growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The blend is made up of 52% Cabernet and 48% Merlot. The vines are farmed with the utmost respect for the environment and the grapes are harvested by hand in small baskets before being meticulously sorted – only the best grapes are used to make the wine. They ferment in stainless-steel vats with regular punching down and pumping over, bringing the desired density and richness to the wine. The élevage then lasts 15 to 18 months in French oak barrels. The resulting wine is oppulent with great texture. The nose is fruity and spicy. The tannins are perfectly integrated.
