Information
Having been present in the Mesnil-sur-Oger region for 7 generations, the Gonet family produces particularly mineral champagnes which reflect the terroir from which they are produced. The domain spans 19 hectares, with two thirds of Chardonnay and one third of Pinot Noir. Today, Pierre Gonet manages the domain and Chantal Brégeon Gonet supervises the commercial and export side of things.
The TER cuvée is produced from three of the house’s terroirs. ‘Le Champ de la Truie’ in Mesnil sur Oger is planted with Chardonnay, ‘Le Tertre’ with Pinot Noir and ‘Le Pré des Vallées’ with Pinot Meunier. Pierre Gonet vinifies his Champagne in 60hectolitre oak barrels, bringing depth and complexity. The bubbles are very fine, the nose is rich, dominated by aromas of fruit and almond. On the palate, you’ll enjoy the delicious notes of peach and apricot.
