Information
Christophe Cordier is a winemaker at the top of his game who produces top-drawer Pouilly-Fuissé. Fine Josephine, which is named in honour of Christophe Cordier’s daughter, is a rare cuvée produced with small, ripe grapes, matured on lees for 24 months. With its notes of honey, smoke, beeswax, white fruits and toast, this is a full-bodied wine redolent with concentrated, sun-ripened fruit and an indulgent structure. The vines produce very small yields of just about 10 hectolitres/hectare: only 300 bottles are therefore produced every year. Wines from this domain are characterised by their lovely concentration, density and remarkable richness. This particular cuvée is made to be aged and will start expressing itself best after three years in the bottle. Will amply reward 10 years’ aging.
