Information
Domaine Luneau-Papin, lies in the Muscadet region, 20 km from Nantes, in the south of the Loire. The property extends over 40 hectares and is managed by Pierre and Monique Luneau who were joined by their son Pierre-Marie in 2005, representing the ninth generation of winemakers. Every parcel here is harvested by hand and vinified and matured individually to allow each terroir to express itself. The vineyards are planted exclusively with Melon de Bougogne. Today, the domain is so successful that more than half of its wines are exported overseas.
The old Melon de Bourgogne vines grow on a fantastic terroir of schist and gneisses. Full exposure to the south means the grapes mature perfectly. After fermentation, the wine is matured for just 6 months on lees in order to preserve its freshness.
