Bourgogne Emmanuel Rouget
Information
About the producer

It is impossible to evoke Emmanuel Rouget without mentioning his uncle Henri Jayer, one of the most emblematic winemakers of Burgundy. When he passed away, Emmanuel Rouget inherited the family domaine located in Flagey-Echezeux. Trained at his school, he perpetuates the unique know-how of one of the masters of Pinot Noir especially on the mythical Cros Parantoux. Emmanuel Rouget has now made a name for himself thanks to his meticulousness both in the vineyard and the cellar. Yields are very low. Aging is skilfully done to keep the wines fresh. The grape harvest is 100% destemmed in the pure tradition of the domaine and fermentation is slow and carried out in line with the pre-fermentation maceration invented by Jayer. Emmanuel Rouget’s wines are always silky, fresh and energetic. Mythical wines that a lover of great Burgundy wines must taste at least once in life.
