Information
Domaine Dureuil-Janthial is the icon of Rully. The Dureuil-Janthial family is one of the oldest of the village, where it has been present since the 13th century. Since 1994, Céline and Vincent Dureuil have been in charge. The vineyard extends over 17 hectares, mainly in the Côte Chalonnaise but also in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, all on 20 different appellations. It has been certified in organic farming since 2009 and uses certain biodynamic practices, including respect for the lunar calendar. The work is precise and the élevage in particular has made great progress, producing very fine wines. The entire range is reliable and excellent value.
Domaine Dureuil-Janthial produces this Rully premier cru in both Chardonnay and Pinot noir. This is a delicious red wine characterised by a ruby red colour and an aromatic nose of flowers and dark fruits like blackcurrant. This is a structured and subtle cuvée.
The soils are worked following the lunar calendar and the harvests are carried out totally by hand. Céline and Vincent Dureuil always strive to craft wines that represent them as well as the earth in which the vines are grown. Open at 16°C with a Normandy camembert or rabbit with herbs.
