About the wine
This beautiful property owes its name to its lofty position, one that offers a stunning view across an ocean of vines. The 28-hectare vineyard spans across the appellations of Margaux (7ha), Haut-Médoc (13ha) and Bordeaux (8ha). This cuvée is made from the property’s best Margaux terroir: 1.33 hectares of mature vines that grow in a clay- and gravel-rich soil. Its grape content is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. It is vinified traditionally with an 18-month maturation in new, French oak casks. The result is fresh with great aromatic purity. It is round on the palate with mature, silky tannins. This harmonious cuvée can be enjoyed in its first ten years.
